Moose Mountain Provincial Park Cottage Owners’ Association (MMPPCOA)

The Moose Mountain Provincial Park Cottage Owners’ Association represents cottage owners in Moose Mountain Provincial Park (MMPP) which is located in south east Saskatchewan about 200 km from Regina. There are 453 cottages located on leased land in seven subdivisions in the Park. The majority of the cottages are occupied seasonally with about 150 registered as permanent residences.

MMPPCOA Mandate
The MMPPCOA’s mandate is to present a unified voice for our member cottage owners when dealing with the Ministry of Parks, Culture & Sports (PCS); to identify major issues affecting our membership and take steps to address concerns; to provide leadership on issues affecting cottage properties; and, to act as a liaison between cottage owners and Saskatchewan Government Departments and other organizations concerning regulation and operation of park facilities for the good of all.

Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Our annual general meeting is normally held on the second Sunday in July at the MMPP Recreation Hall. The meeting starts at 1p.m. Generally, the Park Manager attends immediately following the AGM to respond to cottage owner issues/concerns and to provide information on PCS’s programs and services.

Member Support, Communication and Feedback
MMPPCOA members are encouraged to actively participate in influencing their experience and environment at MMPP through attendance at a “Members Only” meeting at which cottagers discuss issues and ideas, and identify items of common concern which must be resolved in conjunction with PCS. Information from the meeting is compiled and reviewed with the Park Manager, who addresses the issues at the AGM. MMPPCOA also receives input from members and keeps members informed of events impacting them via e-mail at mmppcoa@sasktel.net.
